Hi, I'm Dr Milan!

 

My Journey from GP Partner to Stress Management Coach

 

For several years, I have dedicated my life to being an NHS GP (Family Physician) in the UK and running a GP surgery. I enjoyed providing care and support to many people and their families. Whilst I loved doing this, I was seeing how more and more of my patients were becoming stressed, overwhelmed, and burning out, especially those in high-pressured jobs or businesses.

 

I listened to these business professionals struggling to juggle their demanding careers with their personal lives, which was leading them into a vicious cycle of stress and burnout. I then learned that while medical treatments can help, they weren’t getting to the core of the problem. I realised that to make a big difference, I needed to shift my focus from treating their symptoms to empowering them instead, so they could transform their own lives from within.

When It All Changed…

 

Unfortunately, it took me a long time to realise that it was now me that was slowly burning out. I worked crazy hours, spent little time with my wife and kids, and I always felt constantly tired. My children’s main memory of me from that time, is of me being constantly glued to my work laptop.

 

Then one day, I was thinking about a 10 year wedding anniversary gift to buy for my wife. I then reflected on the previous 10 years, and whilst I had many lovely memories, a lot of that time was clouded by many not-so-nice memories of my job. I then asked myself what would the next 10 years look like for me? Either I could continue doing the same thing, completely burn out and be no use to anyone. Or, I could take a brave step and leave my job, and give myself permission to re-design my life and live it the way that I want to. Guess which option I chose? Once I decided to leave my job, it just felt right inside. I made the tough decision and have never looked back.

A New Path

 

This realisation started me on a new journey. It gave me a new purpose in life, something which I had lacked for a long time. I trained extensively in stress management and coaching techniques, which provided me with the tools to help others not just survive, but thrive in the complexities of modern life. My mission became clear: I wanted to help business professionals overcome stress and burnout, unlock their potential, and create a life of clarity, balance, and inner peace. I wanted them to regain control of their lives and find freedom, just as I did.

 

Now, I choose when I want to work and take time off whenever I want. I enjoy spending much more time with my wife and kids. My wife and I are closer than ever and my kids now see me as a dad they can have lots of fun with! I have become crystal clear on what I want from life and what I need to do to achieve it.

Why I Do What I Do

Having nearly burned out from a demanding career myself, I truly understand the challenges my clients face.

I know what it’s like to feel totally overwhelmed, to struggle with achieving a good work-life balance, and to yearn for a sense of freedom and fulfilment. I know what it’s like to see the sheer disappointment in your children’s eyes, when you tell them you can’t make it to their sports games or school events, because your life is completely consumed by work.

 

All of these personal experiences have fuelled my passion to help others. I believe that with the right mindset and strategies, anyone can overcome these obstacles and thrive.
